Enterprise Enfield Business Awards Launched
In this tough economic climate many business owners are facing enormous challenges and deserve recognition for their sheer hard work and determination to succeed. The Enterprise Enfield Business Awards, sponsored by local charity The RSA Trust, are designed to acknowledge, celebrate and promote the excellent efforts of businesses in the region.
Winner of the 2008 Start - Up Business of the Year, Sonia Abrams, has had a testing year, however, despite the economic downturn her Cockfosters based wedding planning and event business, Sparkle and Wow, is moving from strength to strength. Sonia is a firm believer in PR and regularly contributes to radio and magazines in order to promote her services - she has even appeared on Wedding TV, she says:
?Winning the Start up Business of the Year has been a real boost for my business ? helping to raise my business profile and enhance my reputation. Promoting my company as an award winning business compliments my marketing activity and has helped me attract new customers.?
The Awards are open to all small and medium sized businesses (no more than 50 employees) in Enfield as well as other Enterprise Enfield clients located in other London boroughs. Winners in each of the following categories will receive £1000 and runners up will receive £500:
Ø Start-Up Business of the Year (under 2 years of trading)
Ø Business of the Year (over 2 years of trading)
Ø Green Business of the Year
Ø Barclays Innovative Business of the Year
In addition business winners will gain valuable publicity and the opportunity to display the award logo on their website and marketing material. The awards will be made at a Gala Dinner celebration evening at the Royal Chace Hotel on 29th October. The closing date for entries is 5pm Monday 28th September.
