Free taxi shuttle service to Florentia Village

The RevUp project run by North London Business (NLB) is sponsoring a one day transport service to promote the Florentia Clothing Village by providing a free taxi service on Saturday 4th July from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm from Fonthill Road to the village at Vale road.

The village houses more than 30 clothing outlets at factory prices. The visitors on 4th July will enjoy an extra 10% discount on the day.

The initiative is aimed to raise the profile of the village among shoppers.

The village has suffered since the closure of the adjacent roads to traffic and, in the absence of a bus route to Vale Road; people without a car are finding it difficult to visit the village and its extensive range of offers.

The staff from the RevUp project will be at Fonthill road to guide people to the taxi and answer their questions. The taxi will operate on a timetable, shuttling between the Fonthill Road and the village.

The only bus route to the village is bus 67 from Turnpike lane to St. Ann?s Road Police station at the beginning of Hermitage Road about 1.5 miles away from the village in Vale road. Mr. Michael Chambi, the manager of Mark Anthony CO. that is the landlord of the village hopes to negotiate a new bus route to the village to make the facilities more accessible to public.
