Transport for London (TfL) are offering a (free) workshop to businesses within Waltham Forest, to assist and advise on freight / transportation related matters. The aim is to help firms located in transport hotspots to sustain an efficient business operation during the Games.

If you would like to attend, you are advised to follow this link www.freightadviceworkshops.eventbrite.co.uk, locate the Waltham Forest workshop from the list, and confirm whether you will be attending EITHER:

The morning (AM) workshop 9:30 – 12:30

The afternoon (PM) workshop 1:30 – 4.30

Alternatively, you can confirm your interest in attending by sending an email to freight@tfl.gov.uk, quoting ‘Waltham Forest Workshop’ indicating whether you intend to attend the morning or afternoon session.

The workshop will include tailored information relevant to the Waltham Forest area, and the objective is to ensure that freight operators and businesses are as prepared as they can be for the changes that are going to take place this summer during the Olympic Games. Each workshop is three hours in duration, and is split into two main sections. The first section covers the facts, information, etc and the second half focuses on issues, solutions, tools available and what operators can do to help plan for business as usual. In the second part the course will cover alternative options such as re-timing of collections, and preparing a business action plan for making sure that freight / transport operators understand what they can do to minimise the impact on their operation.

The workshop may be beneficial to local firms who may have key transport related functions within their business (inc Haulage Companies, Deliveries, Freight Carriers, Refrigerated Transport, Container Bulk and Heavy Haulage, Removals, Commercial Vehicle Dealers,  Warehousing & Storage Companies, Parcel delivery, Pallet distribution services etc…
